Success Case: Cisco Digital Sign
An effective partnership between Bank of Cordoba, Cisco and Grupo Galmes.
The world changes and in order to adapt, one has to be willing to transform, and in such a dynamic context, the word “Innovation” achieves a predominant strength. Promoting the discovery of new ways to take action brings numerous advantages in the short, medium and long-term. It’s one of the core principles of business sustainability. BANCOR (The Province of Cordoba’s Bank) is one of the Argentinean companies which understood that directing resources towards product and services’ innovation translates into an investment rather than an expense. And to provide a solution to the undergoing context, the company decided to involve a world-recognized brand to the workforce, such as CISCO.
Cisco’s video solution arrived as a tool to transform communications, work and information handling of BANCOR’s employees and clients. Every branch, from the oldest to the newest one, adopted Cisco Video and Digital Signs as a fundamental technology solution.
Video: A key player
BANCOR decided to employ the video format to train its employees and be near its clients across all branches without interrupting operations, thus becoming the first Latin American corporation that implemented such a network infrastructure. In the words of Federico Palleiro, BANCOR’s General Sub manager of Operations and Processes, “Among the connectivity platform and communications between all branches, we started to look for ways to bring people together. For that purpose, video was paramount.”

And so, in order to demonstrate the benefits of this important development in one of Argentina’s largest trajectory banks, Portinos travelled to Córdoba along with Cisco’s US board members.
During filming, several BANCOR branches were visited across the whole province including a visit to one of its safety vaults and Cordoba’s historical center.
The film crew was composed of camera operators, light operators and technicians, all who had the task of meticulously capturing the essence of each one of BANCOR’s representative spaces.
Finally, it’s worth noting that BANCOR and CISCO’s deployment (the first one performed by Cisco at a worldwide level) was summarized as a true success case and was subsequently translated to Portuguese and English, cooperating in spreading the system’s benefits to other latitudes.
